So this is what they mean by *whole* foods...

Check out these gianormous blocks of cheese!! It's all real, and not just a display! This was at the Charles River Plaza Whole Foods Market in Boston, MA.
Gigantic whole blocks of parmesan cheese on display in Whole Foods Market, Charles River Plaza.
The sign "Parmigiano-Reggiano" basically just means parmesan cheese.

There were other huge blocks of cheese, but we didn't get to take photos of them because we were told not to. XP
The big blocks are cut into smaller pieces for customers to buy.
Yes of course they cut it down into smaller pieces for customers to buy, which we did... we even managed to bring some back to Singapore, because apparently it didn't need refrigeration.

It was pretty potent cheese... stank up our whole luggage. XD I suppose that's a mark of good quality cheese. I remember the flavour being very strong and cheesy. Indeed, maybe should have been expected - the little brown sticker labels read "raw milk".

If you're ever in the US, be sure to drop by one of these Whole Foods Market stores. Not only do they sell only organic food, but the way all their food is presented, and their breathtaking range and variety of delicious and fresh fare is a worthy tourist attraction in itself! Especially for Singaporeans who're used only to the likes of Giant and FairPrice.
