I had this Purple Sweet Potato Mont Blanc dessert at Cafe Kuriko (now subsumed under its parent cafe, Fruits Paradise) at Funan Mall - instead of chestnut, this dessert uses sweet potato. As you can see, the paste is generously blanketed over the dessert in spaghetti-like squirts. Underneath it is a sponge-cake base layered with some cream, as well as bits and chunks of chestnut. (Instead of the chestnut base, there's also an option to choose a cheese base.)
Overall, it was very fragrant and flavourful, as satisfying a dessert as I would expect from a Japanese dessert cafe. However, as is typical of Japanese desserts, I did think it was a tad sweet, so it's not something I would go for often. The next time though, I think I'll go for their chestnut paste with their cheese base.
