This was the other drink I got from Greybox Coffee, called Rose Red Velvet Latte. Look at the beautiful pink.
As for flavor, it wasn't rose flavoured, not that I could taste at least. So I think that was just a (warranted) description of the beautiful colour. (But it's possible that it was just the right minute amount of rose flavor such that it blended in with the mild cocoa perfectly. Like a cherry-tinged choc flavor.) It was a very balanced red velvet flavor, like a white chocolate latte with the 'umami' cocoa taste, but less sweet, and a tad more delicate cocoa flavor as is red velvet done right. I especially appreciated the low level of sweetness compared to, say, Starbucks' flavoured drinks. It felt like a 30% or slightly less on bubble tea sugar levels.Usually for red velvet cakes and cookies, the faint cocoa gets drowned out by the cheese icing or batter, but if you want to understand what the faint cocoa of red velvet is supposed to taste like, this is a great experience.
That said, I'd be curious about what a rose-flavoured version tastes like nonetheless. =)
