Premium Furu Furu Kumamoto Strawberry from Japan - most intense but balanced strawberries I've tried

I've tried various varieties of premium Japanese strawberries, but recently discovered one of my favourite varieties and had to post about it. These are called "Furu Furu Kumamoto Strawberries" (ふるふるくまもといちご), purchased from Don Don Donki. While some other varieties I tried were interesting (perhaps especially the white ones), their taste did not quite pop out and impress me as much as this one.

It's usually difficult to find strawberries with intense, full and well-balanced flavours, unlike some other fruits such as mango. I've tried other Kumamoto strawberries before (possibly the more common one called Yuubeni ゆうべに), but they seemed pretty standard-nice - sweet with some tartness and juicy, nothing to complain about. I've also tried the whitish-pink strawberries, but those were fragrant but not as intense. Some common South Korean strawberries are also similar. Then there are other special Japanese ones that were extra fragrant, but usually those were slightly less sweet or did not have the right level of tartness. American ones tend to be intense but plain sour so I dislike them.

This variety, however, was excellent in all departments - intense, extremely fragrant, but also very sweet, and balanced with the perfect amount of tartness. It was a very full taste overall without being sour. It was also extremely juicy, which greatly enhanced the flavours, and I had to slurp the juice as I bit into it so it didn't drip. I also loved that they were so huge! Check them out. Perhaps their odd shape is due to their large size.

And finally a picture to capture the juice. It's already slurped though, but hopefully you can see the shiny flesh.

These are possibly my favourite strawberries currently. Totally worth their price of $12.90 especially with all the inflation these past few years, and cheaper for their quality than some other niche Japan varieties.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find any other info online, whether in English or Japanese. It seemed to all be about the Yuubeni variety, so perhaps this is a new one?
