This was advertised as "Sandy Sesame Bun", with a tantalising image of a bun oozing with thick sesame paste. Definitely not the usual bean-based sesame paste bun! I had to try it.
And indeed, it oozed. It was like the glutinous rice ball (tang yuan 汤圆) sesame filling - thick and with a very fragrant sesame flavour.
The best part - it cost only 90 cents!
You can buy this from the bakery inside FairPrice Xtra at Ang Mo Kio Hub, Singapore. It's within the supermarket area, but outside the cash register area, where all the 3rd party vendors have their stalls.
