Orange Mango Chocolate

I had a chance to try the latest seasonal offering of fresh cream chocolate ("nama chocolate") by Royce - Orange & Mango Chocolate. Although, I felt like it was more like orange mango white chocolate.

Visually, it was a soft pastel orangey-yellow. I'm not sure what powder they used for sprinkling over it... in their standard milk nama chocolate, I assumed it was cocoa powder. So maybe they used the powdered version of this orange-mango flavour.

A very pleasant flavour indeed! The orange taste was more dominant, so it's good that they put the word "orange" first in the product's label. It tasted like orange-flavoured Yakult or yoghurt drinks, with a tinge of mango in the aftertaste. An unusual flavour in chocolate indeed.

I liked that it wasn't too sweet (much less sweeter than standard yoghurt drinks). What was also good was the standard Royce quality that comes from their use of fresh cream - a really smooth and creamy texture.

It's supposed to be stored chilled too, and the cool temperature made it even more refreshing.

Think of it as a not-so-sweet, chilled orange-mango yoghurt drink that you can bite into, but that melts very smoothy and creamily in your mouth.

Cost-wise, Royce's prices are always very affordable for the quality, and this is no exception. Not to mention, they have very nice packaging, even wrapping their nama chocolates up in a freezer bag (the blue sleeve in the background in the pictures above) and including an ice pack with it.

Definitely recommended!
