Quite mad indeed - according to Oriole Coffee + Bar @ Capitol Piazza, Singapore where I purchased it, it's a cold-pressed nut milk made with macadamias, almonds and dates (hence "M.A.D."). Cost a whopping $10, compared to their average drink which is about $6-7.
Definitely most unique and worth trying though... it reminded me very much of coconut milk, but with a macadamia and woody almond aftertaste. Very rich and flavourful.
There were also bits of crushed nuts, which I personally liked because of the texture. But some people may think it's a powdery element in what they expect to be a smooth milky drink.
I really loved the bottle that they served it in... reminds of the traditional glass milk bottles that the delivery man used to leave outside homes in old American movies.
