Rose Tea Latte by Greybox Coffee

Earlier, I tried a Rose Syrup Milk Tea by Lady M and quite liked the fragrance of rose in milk drinks, so when I saw this new and seasonal offering by Greybox Coffee, I wanted to try. It is called Rose Tea Latte, but it is more accurately described as a Rose Tea Caffe Latte, as it is a coffee base with some rose tea added for the flavour, similar to the Yuan Yang series by Luckin.

First off, look at how pretty it is. I loved the rose petal topping!

Overall, I liked it much better than the Lady M Milk Tea version! They used a relatively fruity and tart coffee blend, which complemented the floral rose fragrance very well.

The rose tea did not seem to be a separate flavour, but more like a single very fruity caffe latte, probably closest to a Sumatran Gayo caffe latte as that has a very pronounced cherry fragrance which is similar to this rose one. Except that for this, the floral rose-cherry fruity notes were much more prominent. It is a very nice gourmet pairing for slow sipping.

The coffee flavour was very prominent and strong, so it did not feel drowned out or overpowered by the milk. I felt it was more towards the gourmet coffee end of the spectrum, compared to Japanese or Luckin's very creamy milk coffees.

There were also dark chocolate notes which were very noticeable, and overall the taste reminded me of floral or fruit-flavoured dark chocolate bars. Very thick and dark with a nice fragrant topping.

Another reason I preferred this Greybox offering over the milk tea version was because there was no sugar added, which I feel is how gourmet caffe lattes should be.

Finally, I liked this iced version as the ice diluted it a bit and made it more refreshing. Otherwise, I felt it might have been a bit heavy, like dark chocolate drinks tend to be. But I felt the refreshing version suited the fruity and floral notes better, so this was perfect for me.

I would definitely recommend trying this. I don't know how long they will have this for, so be sure to grab it before it's gone!
